Confined spaces present some of the most dangerous working conditions in industrial environments due to hazards such as oxygen deficiency, toxic atmospheres, engulfment, restricted movement, and limited means of escape. Many confined space fatalities occur not only to entrants but also to untrained rescuers attempting emergency response. These incidents are largely preventable through proper hazard identification, permit systems, monitoring, and role clarity. This training is designed to provide a clear understanding of confined space hazards, legal requirements, and safe systems of work.

Participants gain essential knowledge to recognise confined spaces, identify associated hazards, and follow safe entry procedures. The training improves understanding of roles and responsibilities of entrants, attendants, supervisors, and rescue teams. Participants learn how to use permits, gas testing equipment, ventilation systems, and personal protective equipment effectively. The program also strengthens emergency preparedness, enabling participants to respond correctly during confined space incidents.
