Forklifts are indispensable material-handling equipment in warehouses, manufacturing plants, and logistics operations, yet they remain a major source of serious accidents when operated unsafely. Incidents involving forklifts often result in crushing injuries, fatalities, damage to goods and infrastructure, and costly operational disruptions. Most forklift accidents are preventable and commonly arise from inadequate operator training, unsafe driving practices, poor load handling, and lack of awareness of workplace hazards. This training is designed to equip operators and supervisors with the knowledge and practical understanding required to operate forklifts safely, comply with legal requirements, and minimise risks to people, property, and operations.

Participants gain practical knowledge and skills to operate forklifts safely and confidently in real workplace conditions. The training enhances understanding of forklift stability, load handling, safe driving practices, pedestrian safety, and daily inspection requirements. Participants learn to identify hazards, prevent tip-overs and collisions, follow safe operating limits, and respond appropriately to emergency situations. By reinforcing safe work behaviour, the program helps operators protect themselves and others, reduce accidents and damage, and contribute to safer, more efficient material-handling operations.
